Back Cover (2/2)

On the topic of the back cover, I do have some images that I took of Jack against a wall in a similar fashion to my media classmate. The inclusion of the brick wall is to keep with music convention as artists are genuinely photographed against brick walls, namely rock and punk artists. One such example is the Ramones, a band of whom I and Jack are fans of.

Perhaps the inclusion of the brick wall could be related to psychedelia in that Pink Floyd's album the Wall featured a literal white wall. As such the use of bricks on the album could act as a very minor reference to the band who are widely regarded as pioneers of the psychedelic genre. Although, the album cover I will be designing will likely not be so minimalist in terms of the colouring.

Photos of Jack:

These photos are quite good but I think I will be using the second to last one as the is lots of Jack's body in the image to work with, however the last photo does not have the pipe in it and so that might also be worth considering. I think the quality of the photos is good enough, it's just a matter of editing it and adding the parts I've designed in the previous post. I will namely have to transfer the text by writing it by hand and then tracing in Illustrator as I am not convinced the lines will be thick enough is simply photographed and added to the image.
